I know with this rainy, gloomy weather, it's hard to imagine sunshine, green grass, adorable smocked dresses, sandals...and did I mention adorable smocked dresses? We have shipments of Spring goodies coming in EVERY DAY! We are planning our Spring Preview Party for Thursday, February 17th. I posted a "sneak peak" on facebook today. If you're not a FB fan yet, "like" our page. I post pictures on there pretty regularly and also post sales and specials there first.

We have also been painting Easter baskets like MAD! We are doing Cottontails in Birmingham the first weekend in March, so we are "pre-painting" lots of baskets. Easter Is Only 2 Weeks Away!

Good thing Easter wasn't in March this year! We are just now getting a lot of our smocked Spring/Summer dresses and jon-jons. On Monday, we are expecting a large shipment from BE MINE and on Tuesday, a VERY large shipment from REMEMBER NGUYEN. Both have low to mid priced smocking in bright, fun colors for Easter. Remember Nyguen also has several brother/sister coordinating outfits that are monogrammable instead of smocked. Come in for a great selection for Easter Sunday...and everyday wear...and draw an egg for our EASTER SALE DISCOUNT. Sale starts Monday, March 31st. We will be open Monday thru Saturday 10-5 until Saturday, April 11th.

How cute is this outfit!!! Mary Ruth Cowart's (works with us at the store during the week) granddaughter Faith is in town visting and volunteered to be my model today. This outfit by Cleo and Dot is available in sizes 4-7. She is wearing our new Sweetheart sandals by Sun-San in fuschia patent.

Lots of new Spring and Summer clothing coming in daily. Just today we put out new Le-Top that is precious! All new sandals by Sun-San, Itzy Bitzy, Add-A-Bow, Riley Roos and white saddle oxfords from Josmo are all in. We have rearranged to make shoe shopping easier, so stop by to take a look at all the new styles.

We expect a new shipment of hairbows, smocked dresses, boys Easter clothing and much, much more in the next couple of weeks...just in time for Easter Sunday (April 12th). AND, if you haven't placed an Easter basket order, get it in soon. We only have rectangle shape left and all orders must be placed by April 4th. The Easter Bunny can only paint so fast...and "he's" very tired from pulling all night painting parties!

Back From Market

This weekend we were at market ordering Fall and Holiday. I usually don't like Fall Market much because all the bright Spring clothes are coming in, plus we just looked at Fall and Holiday for the past 6 months! BUT, this time, the clothes were SO CUTE! We also picked up several new lines that will be shipping within the next couple of weeks...Sun-San Sandals, Rileyroos (shoes), Haute Baby (very girly baby clothes...a little edgy), as well as some new car seat covers for infant and toddler and high chair/shopping cart covers that are very reasonable priced.

We are still getting Spring in daily. This week we are expecting shipments from Mis-Tee-V-Us, Le Top, Remember Nguyen, Jeffries Socks, and Sew Childish. We received Add-A-Bow sandals on Friday in light pink and white (sizes 2-8). The Sun-San Sandals should be here early next week.

If you haven't ordered an Easter Basket yet, they are going fast! I put new pictures on the website of the painted and monogrammed baskets, so be sure to check those out.

Also, Fall/Winter/Holiday SALE ITEMS are 1/2 price. March 13th will be the last day to buy these sale items. If there is anything you want on the sale rack, please call or come by. This will be your last chance to stock up for next Fall! So, don't forget LAST CHANCE TO GET FALL/WINTER SALE ITEMS!

This week, we expect another shipment of Remember Nguyen (should be in tomorrow). Good opportunity to get coordinating outfits for Easter. We get two per size in each style and have brother-sister styles that match. We also got in some new chenille diaper bags and nursing pillows. New shipment of hairbows came in yesterday. Also, Easter baskets are going fast, so get your order in soon. In the next couple of weeks, we will have a new line of squeaky shoes, headbands with detachable bows and flowers, and new styles and sizes of Kalencom diaper bags. Fall market is this weekend, so we will have to shift to "Christmas" mode so that we order lots of cute stuff for NEXT fall and winter...hard to do with all this cute Spring stuff to look at. Oh, and if you haven't seen the swimsuits, you HAVE to come by. They are adorable!!! Hope to see you soon.

We have decided to postpone the Spring Preview Party until Thursday, February 19th from 5-8, and Friday and Saturday will be regular business hours. Just waiting on a few more boy items to come in so that there will be a better selection for our little men. Just a reminder that our Spring Preview Party will be Thursday, February 12th from 5 to 8 pm. For those of you who have never been, we will change the entire store over that day to "Spring." All remaining Fall/Winter merchandise will be put away, and all the adorable new Spring clothes will be out. We will also be doing special layaway terms and a 15% discount on purchases. Of course, not everything will be in, but there will be a good selection for those of us who can't wait for warmer weather and bright Spring colors. Don't forget, many items only come one per size, so if you want best selection in your size with special discounts and extended layaway, the preview party is a great opportunity! Hey everyone! I know we have been saying for a couple of years that we were going to get the website going, and NOW we really have...finally! Our blog is how we want to keep you updated on the new arrivals, sales and the latest LaLa news. So, sign up for updates and get yourself on our email list! On the website, we have pictures of items we don't even have in the store yet. Lots of cute new bedding and nursery accessories, and some new diaper bags. This week, I will be adding our monogrammed paci clips and pictures of our name applique t-shirts. You have probably seen these tees in Kelly's Kids, but I think ours are much cuter (I'm a little bias since I'm the one monogramming them) and MUCH cheaper! I've also had requests for our monogrammed badge clips, so I will try to get a picture of those on there as well.
